The Mineta Transportation Institute of San Jose State University has launched a Photography Contest to all who take an interest in photography. Students enrolled in a college/ university or high school photography program/ class are highly encouraged to participate. MTI embraces diverse submissions and photographers to amplify the convergence of all voices.
The theme of the year is ground transportation with an emphasis on safety by diverse groups ranging in age, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including but not limited to autonomous vehicles, bicycling, micro-mobility, pedestrian access, public transit, etc.
Submission Guidelines:

Entry is limited to original works for which the entrant holds all applicable rights

Image data files created with any device capable of taking still images, including smartphones and digital still cameras are accepted

Images that have been retouched by using camera apps, photo editing apps, and other such software are accepted

One entry/ portfolio submission per participant (5 photographs max)

Color and monochrome images are accepted

800-1200 pixels or 5MB
Prize Winners:

(1st Place) - $500 and featured on MTI's website, social media, and MTI's annual banquet slideshow.

(2nd Place) - $250 and featured on MTI's website, social media, and MTI's annual banquet slideshow.

(3rd Place) - $100 and featured on MTI's website, social media, and MTI's annual banquet slideshow.
